This book is about the human-kind’s great journey towards the mysterious hereafter. This Great Journey is pegged on religious beliefs and practices. Both the atheist and the person who believes that God or gods exist are travelling at the same velocity towards the grave. Whether the hereafter is or is not has remained to be a matter of supposition in the mind of the philosopher.
Christ in the Bible says: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. ( M't:5:43-45).
“Death to the infidel,” the Muslim calls out! The Judaist historically exterminates the Amelekites before genocide is coined as an aggression against humanity by humanity;
“Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” (1Sa:15:3:);
The Christian is sucked into the religious wave of the time and initiates Crusade for God and King. Men and women alike are drawn into the religious chaos that is intended to structure political and social order in the cosmos.
In this grand march, we are all players; this march leads somewhere, so we must believe. Beyond here, what is beyond is in the hands of The Great Almighty, whatever you perceive Him/Her to be. We can only speculate, imagine and dream of what is beyond the now. We never planned to be born, we don’t plan to die; we can only prepare for the eventualities! It is suicidal to plan to die. However, whatever the case, religion has put more people to death than all wars put together. The Christian, for example, believed in putting to death the heretic, but logic in the Christian concept has it that all shall meet in the Kingdom, the murderer and the victim! For this reason, religious purpose ends in the action where camouflaged political-economic interest takes over.
