Catalyzing the Second Renaissance

Dr Robin Wood is interviewed by Psychiatrist Dr Nicholas Beecroft. Robin is Founder and CEO of the Renaissance 2 Foundation. Imagine living in a Solar Civilization powered completely by renewable energy, with people living in resilient habitats in tune with nature, operated by enlightened enterprises, wise culture and conscious, integral leadership aligned with a full spectrum of healthy values. In this interview with Dr Nicholas Beecroft, Robin shares his experience in helping thousands of business leaders and activists tune in to their passion and make their visions come true- to make money while doing good. Robin masters linking an encyclopedic knowledge of the big picture to the individual person and their business or mission. Robin describes his personal identification with Western Civilization-what it means to him from his start as an anti-Apartheid activist, through consulting in silicon valley to the present day.

Robin is currently Deputy Chair and General Manager of the Ervin Laszlo Center for Advanced Study (ELCAS), as well as Founder of Renaissance2 and the inventor of ThriveAbility. He has been a leader in digital and sustainable innovation for several decades, as a senior executive in, co-creator of and advisor to hundreds of global organizations in 35 countries. He speaks frequently at major conferences on ThriveAbility and Transformation. He is also author of several books including Managing Complexity (Economist, 2000) and The Great Shift: Catalyzing the Second Renaissance (R2 Publishing, 2009). 

Dr Nicholas Beecroft, a Military and Organizational Psychiatrist, has spent 25 years exploring the worlds of Medicine, Psychiatry, Business, International Relations and the Military.
