John Scully was just another busted-up soldier intending to live out his life on the coast of Maine.  But that was before he discovered the injured alien craft.  If it hadn’t been for the baby, maybe he wouldn’t have gotten involved.  With Gert’s veterinary skills and his engineering experience, maybe they could get off-planet before someone else stumbled across the crash site.  But that hope fades when he discovers that their enemy is still waiting up there for one more chance to get at them…
