Daemonica Seer visits the house of her estranged husband, Jonny Prester, only to discover his murdered body burned to hideous crispiness. (Jonny was injected with a poison that caused a chemical reaction in his bloodstream. This reaction forced his flesh to broil from the inside out – spontaneous combustion.)

Daemonica hears a noise from a nearby room. There, Jonny’s assassin rifles through her husband’s belongings. The assassin is dressed in a tight black leotard, white gloves, white sneakers, and a black box over his head. Attached to the front of this box are bits of white clay shaped in the form of a smiley face. When the assassin spots Daemonica, he rearranges the clay bits into an expression of surprise.

After that, things get weird.

Daemonica learns that before he died, Jonny was working on a computer program that would have made him ruler of the world. Now there are people eager to get their clutches on this program, including Jonny’s protégé, a cult of psychopathic hedonists, and the United States Bureau of the Census.

To solve Jonny’s murder, she must figure out what this program does while being chased by the dreaded Harlequin assassins, who try to kill her with an army of ants, a gun-toting orangutan, a pie made of epoxy and ether, and other exotic weapons.

Realityland will be a thinking person’s action movie in the tradition of Blade Runner, Inception, Twelve Monkeys, and the original Matrix.
