ABOUT THE BOOK

The phrase “idle time” is not in the vocabulary of Academy-Award nominated actor James Franco. While finishing his doctorate in English at Yale University, Franco is simultaneously completing classes at Columbia University, The Rhode Island School of Design and New York University.

Franco is an inspiration to any multi-tasker who thinks they cannot do it all and well for that matter. Many critics have been put off by this intellectual who will, according to Franco, be teaching more then acting in the future. But for those who love the romantic notion that you can do it all and do it well, James Franco is a God among men, a well-read and well-versed God who can act, write, direct and create interesting art.

MEET THE AUTHOR

With over 25 years experience as a writer and editor, Lucille knows exactly what is needed to get a job completed correctly and with flair! Her brain is a cesspool of information that, if not for her writing, would just sit there and go to waste! Thank goodness for instant recall about celebs and who they're dating, otherwise she would never be able to finish a TV guide crossword puzzle!

EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK

Franco’s Academy-Award nominated performance in 127 Hours is sheer genius, allowing Franco one-on-one face time with the audience as mountain climber Aron Ralston, who was famously trapped in a canyoning accident in Utah.

James Franco began his show business career not as an actor, but as an artist. He originally wanted to go to art school, specifically The Rhode Island School of Design. His father wanted him to study mathematics.

The two eventually agreed on UCLA and Franco applied for acting school at the university when he was a freshman. The heads of the acting department explained James would have to wait until junior year to enroll, so he left school and started working, taking intensive acting classes at Robert Carnegie’s Playhouse West.
