ABOUT THE BOOK

Once upon a time, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, was the world's most eligible bachelor. Over the past few years, he has moved from being the single prince who women all over the world long to be with, to being a married man whose wife those same women envy. As the son of the late Princess Diana, William is second-in-line to the throne after his father, Prince Charles. His royal heritage has seen him obtain the title of the Duke of Cambridge, a prestigious honor that has been awarded to noblemen of royal blood lines for almost 500 years.

As a modern prince, William has been educated in schools throughout London that are sought after by those who are members of high society. His university education was completed at St. Andrew's, where he met his wife, Catherine Middleton. Although William has been born into the British Royal Family, he has not shied away from work. Like many princes before him, William has served time in the army, showing his dedication to his queen and country. As a serving member of the RAF, he trained at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell, and has reached the position of flight lieutenant. As a fully trained pilot, William has served in the Falklands, a set of islands situated near Argentina. The move to place William in Argentina was considered to be controversial, in addition to other controversies that surround him.

Many of those who work in the media believe that it is thanks to Prince William and Catherine Middleton getting married in 2011, that faith in the British royal family has been restored across the British Commonwealth. The dazzling wedding was watched by over a billion people worldwide, who were all keen to witness a young prince marrying a "commoner."

As Miss Middleton was neither of royal or noble heritage, her story struck a chord with women everywhere, who watched her fulfill their dreams of marrying a prince. The royal couple are now closely followed by the media, and are considered to be the most fashionable members of the royal family. With magazines such as Vanity Fair reporting on their state visits, and publications such as Cosmopolitan featuring the couple in their articles, it is clear to see how Prince William has become a common feature in popular culture today...
