Henry Graham Greene (1904 – 1901) wrote many novels surveying the political and moral issues of the day. Some of his novels displeased many people, including Graham Greene himself. Many of his works are now quite valuable and this eBook explores the values of each of those novels and why some are worth much more than others.
As expected, those books with the original dust jacket will always be worth more than those missing the cover and those in fine condition can command a higher premium. The reasons why this is so is down to the following:-
1. A book is complete with the original dust jacket
2. The designer of the dust jacket can raise the premium
3. Dust jackets may be rare as many readers take them off as they tend to get in the way of the enjoyment of reading or, the paper is very thin and stains easily or tears easily so the reader gets rid of it as it spoils the book. (During the war years paper was scarce so the wrappers were thinner thus prone to tearing and staining)
This eBook is ideal for anyone who wants to starts collecting books by Graham Greene as it gives the collector a good idea of the current prices of each of his novels. Some of his written works have different coloured cloth boards and it is imperative to know what colour boards covered the very first printing so the buyer does not purchase a later printing which may be worth much less. The dust jacket illustrator is also mentioned wherever possible. Prices obtained at auction houses will is stated in the currency of the country where the book was sold.
We hope you enjoy this Price Guide on Graham Greene books. See my Price Guides on other popular authors.
