The vision which allows a human being to see his own mistakes, mistakes that hurt him and others; is very rare. It is very easy to see, and point out mistakes of others, blame others when things go wrong. Inability to realize where one's own fault lies, is the reason for conflicts and fight with others. Furthermore this conflict is carried through as kashaya--anger pride deceit and greed reaction, into the next life. The word 'kraman' means that which is happening through the medium of this mind, speech and body. Atikraman means aggression and hurt to others through the mind, speech and body. Pratikraman is the reversal from this aggression that has happened in the process of interaction with others in daily life. In this book of Pratikraman, Gnani Purush Dadashri's satsang-spiritual question sessions with seekers from all walks of life--is presented. Gnani Purush means the One who is enlightened, and has all the answers in spiritual matters. These are matters of liberation and freedom from pain, internal or externally caused, through the mind, speech and body actions.Upon reading this, the reader will become deeply involved with his own self, and the path that opens up the vision that clears all obstacles in life. Otherwise, a human being continues to suffer because of the unresolved anger, pride, deceit and greed issues that motivate and drive him in the direction of more conflicts and suffering .
The Tirthankaras (full enlightened Ones who liberate others) and the Gnanis have given this world the only weapon to combat such suffering, and that weapon is the spiritual science of alochana (confession of one’s mistakes), pratikraman (asking for forgiveness), and pratyakhan (firm resolve and determination never to repeat the mistake). Infinite beings have achieved the wealth of liberation with this weapon by destroying the very root of which a vast tree of hatred and abhorrence grows. Gnani Purush Dadashri, in whom the absolute Self manifest in 1958, has expounded in his spoken words, the science of pratikraman, precisely as it is. His spoken words are to be found in this book, along with many other books; words which will prove invaluable to the aspirant of truth and liberation.
