Taken from her supposedly secret confessions to a Midlands priest, whose diaries were discovered by accident in auction, this is the story of Poppy, a happily-married woman who suddenly discovers that she isn't anything of the sort. Her husband is a serial cheater, and has been for years. Before she tells him he's been caught with his pants down she decides to take her revenge on a like-by-like basis. And once she starts taking her own pants down for his friends - all of them, one at a time - she discovers she likes it very much indeed. So she moves on to a wider circle of friends and strangers.
