Planet Worship The Hindu Way: Navagrahas

The "inward looking" ancient Hindus did indeed marvel at the Cosmos focusing on the universe outside their own self. They believed that the life of a child was, to some extent, influenced by the precise positions of the heavenly bodies at the time of birth. Hence the worship of planets. They set up worship procedures along the lines described here and are still practiced by Hindus around the world.
