Philip "Little Farvel" Cohen was a rackets collector for Murder Inc. and its head Louis Lepke Buchalter. In September 1949 Cohen's body was dumped on the Southern Parkway in Valley Stream, New York. Authorities discovered it laying on the side of an access road. The corpse had 3 bullets in the body and three in the head. Law enforcement floated various theories while trying to solve the murder. Among these was the notion that Cohen was murdered for revenge. Perhaps someone had killed him to get back at him for an injustice he had committed. Another theory is that "Little Farvel" was slain by his past associates in Murder Inc.
