What does God say about you? What do you say about yourself? Are they the same things? God called Abram a father of many nations. But to Abram, all natural circumstances said, “There ain’t no way you gonna be a father of many nations. You can’t have one son, let alone many.” All hope of the man becoming a father was gone and there was not ‘light at the end of the tunnel,’ so-to-speak. But Abram decided to do what God did and call himself a father of many nations, that’s what Abraham means. So, every time the man said, “I am Abraham” he was boldly saying, “I am a father of many nations.” Yes, his wife was unable to have any children but that didn’t matter because when the man lined his confession up with God’s confession a miracle happened. After his confession lined up there was suddenly many nations in Abraham’s seed.
