Peace in the Pacific (Paix dans le Pacifique)

(En anglais) A preface notes that trouble is brewing in the Pacific, and wishes to avert a potential world war by offering a suggestion of swapping territory. Chapter 1 suggests the Philippines give up some islands between Taiwan and the Philippines in exchange for consideration of islands to the southwest. It suggests that Japan, UK, France, Austalia, New Zealand and the US give up some islands in the Pacific Ocean in exchange for concessions near the borders of Vietnam, Japan and of Southeast Asian countries. It notes that strategic position in war is counterbalanced by the morale and will to fight the war, that keeps alliances together, the home front resolved that they fight in a just cause. It suggests questions of principles over barren bits of island territory should best be consigned to pragmatic consideration of military security and economic access to resources. Chapter 2 discusses the expansionist tendencies of nations based on the chosen people mentality to claim territory in disregard for the interests of those absorbed into new borders. Chapitre 1 suggère que les Philippines abandonnent certaines îles entre Taiwan et les Philippines en échange d'une contrepartie d'îles au sud-ouest.
