Pastoral Life, a “how-to” book for pastors, addresses issues in the life of a minister, both the private and public aspects – his family life and church life. This minister’s handbook prepares a young minister as he goes “in view of a call” and as he accepts his first pastorate. It offers suggestions for his study time and sermon preparation, as well as conducting various services such as weddings and funerals, baptisms and The Lord’s Supper. It covers missions, church organization, business meetings, and other areas of pastoral responsibility and leadership. The author is a veteran pastor with over fifty years of experience in serving churches, associations and seminaries. He has taught pastoral care classes, and is a writer. This book will benefit the young minister, and may be used in a first year seminary class (pastoral care and ministerial practicalities classes).
