Paniolo Pete is the story of a young boy who makes a choice to seek more out of life than a mere existance. He wants to experience some of the same adventures his Uncle Nickolai has lived.

Starting as a stow-away on his uncle's ship, Pete embraces life and all its challenges. Visiting his grandparents horse ranch in Portugal, Pete dreams of becoming a cowboy. Years later this becomes a reality on the tropical paradise of the Big Island of Hawai'i. He learns to survive off the land, raise and work cattle and horses, and live the life most of us can only dream about.

Paniolo Pete embraces Hawai'i and its people with the same love and respect he shares with his family and friends. I suppose there is no greater compliment than to say he is a true cowboy, a Hawaiian paniolo in his very soul. E pili mau na pomaika'i ia 'oe (may blessings be with you) as you enjoy this book on the adventures of a legendary Hawaiian cowboy, Paniolo Pete. Aloha
