Her heart beating fast, her mouth dry, Karen saw him amble towards her out of the corner of her eye. But she waited for him to speak up before she put the book down on the table. “Well, I'm done. Unless you wanted me to do the front, too?”
“Not today.” She made a show of surveying her garden. “You did a fine job, but”-she let her hands glide over her body-“it seems I forgot my wallet. How silly of me.” Karen couldn't help but grin as she said that. “I don't suppose you'd take payment in kind?”
Jesse returned her grin, now. “I'm not sure, our lawn isn't as big as yours.”
“Actually, I was thinking of a more personal kind of service.” Karen managed to catch one of Jesse's pant legs by hooking her finger underneath the cuff and used that to reel him in. Once he was standing right besides her chair, Karen let her other hand rub the visible bulge she found there. “More intimate,” she amended as she looked up into his eyes.
“H-Here?” Jesse choked out.
“Of course.”
