My running career consists of three periods: the Jurassic, the dormant, and the late-bloomer eras. Much like the dinosaurs, my Jurassic period ended abruptly. With the exception of an ill-fated 5K, the dormant period was marked by inactivity. Spurred on by my wife and son, at the age of fifty-two, I entered the late-bloomer era to take up a quest to complete a half marathon. On Eagles’ Wings: A Runner’s Story chronicles that quest.
I invite you to follow my quest that began with a humbling first run with my wife of just over a mile and includes falls and failures, joys and successes, and deep personal growth as I strived to achieve my goal.
