David Honeywell is a reformed offender turned author, writer and PhD student. In his recently published autobiography, Never Ending Circles, he recounted his life of crime and reckless lifestyle and how it began after a disastrous childhood, schooling and short lived army career where he spent time in the military 'glasshouse' (detention centre) before being dishonourably discharged in 1981.

He had been treated for clinical depression from the age of 15 made worse once he developed an alcohol addiction from the age of 18 after joining the army. At the age of 20 he was sentenced to 30 months youth custody in Durham prison after committing a serious robbery in York and being accomplice to a serious wounding in Darlington.

This 2nd edition goes into more depth and uses more referencing linking to criminology texts. It also gives an example chapter from his latest memoirs, Deadly Encounters.
