Mr Tomkins is a magical cat who lives in places that are never so far away that you can’t see them from where you are. Wherever he happens to be he always has his friends with him. Some of his friends have super powers; some don’t.

In this story Harry the Fastest Boy in the World takes on the London cat in a race helped by Tedward, a talking dog. Also there is Lily Viva, Bert the Superhorse and Steve the Several Sleeved Sloth. Of course, no list of the friends of Mr Tomkins could be complete without an honourable mention of Billy the Laughing Bucket.

In this story Clarence the Catford Cat is a villain who turns up in Ludlow where Mr Tomkins has his toyshop. The London cat intends to put Mr Tomkins out of business. This upsets Mr Tomkins who consults the Wise Woman of the Weeds. Everything depends on a foot race between Clarence and Harry. Will Harry and the Friends of Mr Tomkins save the day? Only time will tell. And, of course, reading or listening to the first story in the ongoing tales of Mr Tomkins…and his friends.

Look out for the next book - Mr Tomkins’ Holiday and the story of the Crickhowell Rabbit - coming soon...
