HER PAST COMES BACK TO SCREW HER PRESENT
Five years ago, Carla left her soul mate in their rumpled bed in a rented house in Mykonos, convinced she doesn’t deserve him, and he comes back to her life the lover of her best friend.
Carla’s childhood friend is visiting Greece after ten years, bringing her boyfriend Jake Winters with her. But Jake turns out to be Tom Sawyer, the pseudonym he used as a male escort five years ago – and he is still hotter than sin.
It did not take long to see that the passion that drove them that blissful whole week drives them still. He remains the only man who makes her feel that happiness is possible. But there is no question that she can only have him back by betraying her friend.
She shouldn’t have left him. Now, there’s no taking him back...

There was a moment of silence before she spoke. “You make her very happy.”
“Thera is always happy. She lets nothing deter her from her positivity, and it’s really refreshing.”
“That’s good, right?”
He shook his head. “I generally avoid women like her. I don’t like breaking women’s hearts, especially sweet women like Thera. I don’t want her to find reason not to speak to me when I meet her in town. That’s disheartening.”
Carla’s cheeks warmed up. “How long have you been standing there and eavesdropping?” she accused.
“I did not mean to eavesdrop. Though I can get why any man would be upset with just a few weeks in your company. I got only a week and I still feel devastated.”
She gasped. “That’s unfair!” she whispered, looking at him furiously.
He turned to pin her with those blue eyes. “Well, is it?”
“I had two relationships, and they weren’t sexual. Ours didn’t count, Tom Sawyer, since it wasn’t legal.”
They stared at each other for a long time.
“You didn’t fuck them?” he asked, a whisper still, his voice hoarse.
She shook her head as she faced the ocean. She didn’t like that look on his face. He shouldn’t look so relieved. It wasn’t like she was going to believe him. He was fucking her bestfriend. “It’s none of your business, really.”
“How come? What was wrong with them?”
“Nothing’s wrong with them.” They were too wrong. They weren’t you.
