Our illustrated travel guide will take you to Montenegro.
Montenegro is in the Balkans and on the Adriatic Sea. It borders Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the north, Serbia to the northeast, Kosovo to the east, and Albania to the south. To the west of Montenegro is the Adriatic Sea.
Montenegro's tourism suffered greatly from Yugoslavia's tragic civil war in the 1990s. In recent years however the region has stabilized and tourism in Montenegro is recovering rapidly. Montenegro is being re-discovered by tourists from around the globe.
The country has recently received peak levels of tourism almost reaching pre-war levels. As a result, many roads have been renovated and many hotels have been constructed.
Finding Internet access when out and about can be problematic so carry your mobile guidebook in the palm of your hand.
