When Molly goes to work at Miss Lorna’s, she cannot wait to meet the gentleman who will ask for her hand in marriage.  Miss Lorna’s is where all the young girls of Charleston are sent to learn how to please a man.  Molly knows nothing about pleasing a man, but she is quite certain that she will be good at it.  After all, she did earn excellent grades at her all girls’ school.

Excerpt:
“Well, Molly Stevens, do come in,” a young woman said, as Molly entered the grand estate.

“I’m here to see Miss Lorna,” she said sheepishly.

“Yes, we’ve been expecting you.”

Molly walked quickly behind the young woman.  The young woman certainly didn’t look like a lady to Molly.  She wore high heels and black fishnet stockings and from behind, Molly could almost see all the way to her crotch.  The young woman’s skirt was bright red and very snug against her butt.  Molly’s mother would certainly never approve of her dressing like that.

“Miss Lorna, this is Molly Stevens.  Her mother sent her.”

Miss Lorna looked the young woman up and down.  “Yes, I see we have our work cut out for us, don’t we,” she said to the young woman.

******

Molly felt naked now.  She knew that her mother would never approve.  “So, Miss Molly, I see that you attended a private school here in Charleston.  I went to school with your mother.  She married well, Miss Molly, and so will you.  She met your father while working here, for Miss Watson.  Has she ever spoken of Miss Watson?”

“No, ma’am,” Molly said.
