Memories of my Africa: enjoying Africa and its people consists of thirty-one short stories. They describe the author’s experiences from 1964 through 2007 in the African countries where he lived and worked as a physics teacher and a trainer of physics teachers in Uganda, Botswana and Ethiopia. “I have written down my experiences there as they happened, without adding or embellishing.” The informative book also features black and white photos taken by the author and his wife.----The news about Africa is not good news. We hear of corruption, famine, war, and genocide. “My aim in publishing this book is to show another side of Africa, a more positive side than one usually finds in the news. I want people to know that Africa is a nice place and that Africans are wonderful people.”
