Child, truck, doll written in blood were the only clues Frank Martini, a retired Seattle homicide detective and now successful PI, had to go on. How was he to make sense of a jogger’s murder and the kidnapping of a 3-year-old girl? Frank would soon learn the little girl was his niece, Holly. Additional clues were hard to come by, but Frank soon found out from the other children on the playground the man that had taken her that day had a dagger tattoo on his arm. Leading Martini to five suspects. Prostitutes, cheap motels, and a series of unrelated murders led Martini on hot pursuit of one of the suspect who was a lowlife petty criminal, turned psychopath and was capable of anything. During the four-months Frank was consumed by the convoluted investigation, new clients with unique problems requiring very creative and close to illegal solutions found their way to his office. Beautiful and lustful women did their best to distract him. The case came to an abrupt and violent end, and Frank’s life would never be the same
