John and Corrie Mannion, millennial marriage counselors and advocates for marriage in their generation, were inspired to write this book after having many conversations with others in their generation about their memories of marriages.

A Note from the Authors

The goal of the book is practical in nature. In addition to observing marriages based on our conversations and a survey we conducted for the book, we also wanted to reflect with you — to acknowledge what we have seen while also recognizing that we have a choice about how we move forward with our experience and knowledge. Within these pages, we hope you will be able to both remember and respond with us.

This book is not only for millennials, though we assume the readership will primarily consist of our own demographic. Naturally, other millennials will be able to relate with what we've written. But we also hope this book will be insightful for non-millennials who want to see another generation's perspective of marriage. In the end, honest observations of marriages will be helpful for anyone preparing for marriage or wanting to make their own marriage stronger.

Whether you're in a dating relationship, preparing for marriage, or happily married, this book can help in reflecting on the principles for lasting love.
