Practically impoverished pastry-chef Merri never expected that her wish for an easier life would be granted But when an image of the Madonna appears on her horse's blanket, pilgrims arrive in droves and enterprising barn workers cash in on their faith. But Merri knows--the Madonna is nothing more than a peroxide stain.
