Lucking Out of the Storm

Ali and her friends look forward to sports, parties and diverse courses as they enter college. Ali realizes she is a closet romantic and struggles to reject guys’ attention. She wanders into thorny and strange encounters—one of which unleashes Amanda’s fury. A rift develops among the friends that may never be bridged. Some of the girls settle into college life, and others come alive while studying in vibrant cities and countries.
A night out for one girl takes a dark turn that changes all of their lives forever. Shy, pensive Ali musters the guts to tackle the problem, and all the girls rally to help their friend heal. Although four of them are graduating into one of the worst economies in decades, they appreciate the education and opportunities they have—but they’re most grateful to have avoided the all-too-prevalent threat of sexual assault. Their friend was not so lucky.
