What is a spiralizer?

A spiralizer is a tool that turns your vegetables into "FAUX" noodles. Some have extra blades. The blades can make spaghetti type noodles or slices.  Spiralizers can be small enough to hold in your hand to large enough to sit on a counter and have multi blades.

What do the blades do?

The blades can make the veggie into small noodle slaw with anything form carrots cucumbers potatoes and zucchini. They can be ribbons or noodles.

You need to play around with your spiralizer vegetables. Some like the cooked for a few minutes stirring others like them raw. Try them both ways but leaving a small amount of raw out each recipe and adding sauces. Everyone likes things cooked so if you cook the majority of your food but still have the opportunity to try raw you will be amazed on how many noodles you will just eat raw.

The first time I spiralized vegetables it was zucchini. I  tried the zucchini with tomatoes saucer raw and loved it. I was hooked  and that was the beginning to my zucchini obsession. I tried zucchini and sauce and cheese. Zuchini with everything. I never cook my zucchini even now unless im cooking for certain guests. Other guests it is raw.. Raw is very healthy for your body and give you lots of great enzymes and vitamin you just will never get form cooked foods.

If you do not have a spiralizer and are unsure on whether you would use one you could try a mandoline or julienne peeler. If you like that it would work for your recipes but I will tell you if you like it I think you should invest in a spiralizer it makes more quicker and easier.
