Loves of Duchess is the second book I have written about our Doberman Pincher girl. Duchess is a red 10 year old with the deepest brown eyes and has the sweetest disposition you can imagine. My primary reason for writing this and the earlier book is for my wife's enjoyment and future memories. The story of Duchess is a dogs view of our lives together following the passing of both our spouses. So the story is really about the three of us starting out as a new family. It is a story of love that closely parallels Shirley's and Barry's story together. The plot is real, but the "actors" are the dogs. It is both a love story and a travel adventure story as Duchess falls in love and sets off to see the world. In the end the adventure comes back to home where the three of us continue to enjoy life to the fullest with the companionship of our beautiful Doberman.
