Frankie struggles between right and wrong and the battles fought in his mind. Abandoned by a drunken father at age ten, Frankie must find his own way in life. Through many harrowing experiences, life is seen from the eyes of a boy growing into a man. Frank narrates his story from the thoughts of a young lost boy finding his journey back home. When a farmer and his wife take him in, it seems like the answer until he thinks the farmer is going to sell him to a stranger. Frankie hops a train north to escape, finding himself in a strange town with nowhere to go. Then he meets Anne, and Anne changes everything. She lights the flame in his young heart, but also digs up some well-buried secrets he'd rather remain hidden. Love's Journey Home is a story of redemption and how true love can overcome and triumph over hopelessness and despair.
