This novella in the second in the series Portae inter nos. The six main characters(Alex, Gwen, Liz, Peter, Sam and Rose) get sucked into an inter-dimensional portal accidentally created by Gwen and Rose. They end up in a different dimension than the last time and have a hard time getting back to their dimension. Throughout the short story, Gwen and Rose's relationship has its struggles and Liz and Peter find a new relationship between each other. The six of them go through dimensions with giant squirrels, giant lizards, different human worlds and meet more of their doubles while Milli(Gwen, Peter and Sam's mother) searches for a way to help bring her kids back home.
