Hannah was born to be a healthy little girl... or so her parents thought. Within two months, however, she contracted pneumonia and heart defects were found. The next six year brought declining health, two heart surgeries, countless doctors, specialist appointments and hospitalizations, many more defects, unanswered questions, and a chronically sick child who wasn't developing appropriately. As her health started to improve, her odd behaviour and development became her parents' focus. After years of struggling to get a diagnosis for her developmental needs, Hannah was diagnosed with autism and she was immediately enrolled in an intense early intervention plan. Once Hannah's medical and development plans were in place, Hannah's mother realized that the years of intense care giving that Hannah required (and would continue to require) had left a mark on her soul, and it was now her own time for healing. Through her own prayers, the counsel and prayers of loved ones, and an honest desire to once again find happiness and joy among the heartaches, healing has returned. At its heart, this story is about God's provision.
