This book presents to the professional specialist the realities of the workplace, integrating our theoretical understanding of gerontological issues with practical applications in the format of a handbook, or guide, to be used by those working as counselors, therapists, chaplains, attorneys, etc. who practice within the aging community. My perspective is holistic, interweaving aspects of widely-held concepts of human and spiritual development with elements synthesized from other disciplines. Current research and publications are referenced for clarity and as suggestions for further study.
