The Bible was essentially my first introduction to poetry. That was particularly true for the books of Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes. The richness and beauty with which their verses were weaved together often transported me to a place beyond any physical space. There was something magical about the rhythm of the words bouncing off the pages and the magnificent wisdom the language conveyed to me as a youngster. I was quite fascinated by the artistic flow of words but never envisioned myself undertaking writing as a hobby. It really wasnt something I was particularly interested in at that time. Many years later, I started writing purely as an outlet to express my observation of the human condition and the surreal wonders of nature. It was through this prism that I was able to discern the paradox of the broken and fallible inadequacies within our humanity, coexisting with uninhibited love, beauty and compassion. These contradictions that somehow give me pause also give me reason to smile. At times, I try to seek out answers to questions no one has. Then one looks around, and nature simply makes those thoughts irrelevant. My simple philosophy is that lifes quite short, so we might as well enjoy it before the joy ends.
