Science Fantasy short story. First in the Lhorak series:  Most of Dhent's districts, warrens, criminal precincts and belligerent boroughs remain under the rule of the warlords requiring the oppressive services of the Hoods. Lhorak, an unlicensed assassin, soon finds out  what it is to be hunted and that sometimes he had to kill twice to get paid.
