There are no holy cows in the Lesbitarian Digest. There are a couple of cows though.
This series of articles published in South Africa's Oldest, and probably seediest gay magazine, is aimed at anyone who doesn't quite like to conform, but who likes to think about things.
It's not anxious about being lesbian, and it voices opinions about religion, sex, society, loss, the death of a parent (we had a small epidemic of crossing over one year), and Symi and Ava's adventures into becoming properly domesticated. Symi's sense of humour is quirky, and she sees life in an off-kilter way, that may shock sensitive audiences, or at least marginally offend the less jaded masses.
She addresses topics like Lesbian Bed Drought, Personal Growth, Religion, the Loss of a Child.
As these shorts have been published before in print, we can share some of the feedback we've gained from our readers:
"I always *always* get a sense of wonderment and blessing that you can grow up practically on the other side of the world from someone and yet they have such a profound influence on your life. Symi, you are amazeballs. Love you loads. "
"THIS is going into my journal... on my fridge... and hopefully - will be printed on my memory to call on when needed... thank you Symi."
