From his baptism into the Mormon Church in 1833 and until his death in 1898, Wilford Woodruff kept an almost daily record in his journal of the events that transpired in his life as well as many of the happenings of the Mormon church. He was referred to as 'perhaps, the best chronicler of events in all the history of the Church.' In this volume, Woodruff - then an apostle and later President of that church - selected passages from his journal that he felt would best serve to promote the faith of those who read it.
