Educated at Catholic schools, Richard Atnally went to graduate school at the University of Florida from 1962-6. He then went first as an Instructor and Assistant Professor of English at Yale University. After six years there he taught at three other private and public universities on the east coast for an additional twenty-nine years. He published a dozen scholarly articles, and reviews, and read several papers at the Modern Language Association. He also wrote a history of ideas manuscript and a novel. Atnally is presently living in Broomfield, Colorado with his wife, Mary. His daughter, Diane Conlin, is married to Michael, and has two children, Kevin and Julia, and teaches at the University of Colorado in Boulder. His son, David, lives in another beautiful part of the country, near Burlington, Vermont.
