Kingdom

Once there was a kingdom of old, up in the mountains and closest to the gods. Its knights were the first in all the realms, and glorious in their virtuous contests, while its power rested in its legendary magicians and their secret arts. From their haloed Throne of Stones, its kings and queens ruled almost half the world, making their very breath the law of the land.
Yet that was then and Mierthur is no more.
Almost five hundred years have gone since the beginning of the Age of Darkness, and the world has recovered from the fall of the most glorious kingdom in Man's known history. Coming from a place of untold wonders, here is a story of woe and joy, one that is not for the faint of heart. This is a tale where an orphaned girl is taken to be sold to the pleasure houses of a distant kingdom, destined to start her lessons in the arts of secrets; an old empire makes the first of its forays into Illyria, famed home of Wizards and Witches; a covenant of priestesses prepare to usurp the throne of Draconia while the men of a prince work to bring back dragons; and a king is made from the ravaged fields of the War of Princes to show the world that a kingdom may rise again.
