This book was written to help parents see what can happen to their children while going through a separation and divorce. What do our children think about the situation that the family is going through? How did it influence their life? My hope is that this book will help the readers to communicate better with their children and spouse. If even one family is helped by reading this book then I have achieved my goal.
When a couple files for divorce, that has children, they have classes in place that are mandatory to be taken. In these classes they show you videos and give out books that are studied over for about 8 hours. It describes how your children are not a product and that they are human beings. They are not a pawn in a chess game. They need parents to teach them good behaviors for when they are adults. However, adults choose to do what they want, no matter what classes they take. Remember, just because you are separated doesn’t mean that the kids are nonexistent. They want to be heard and they need to be heard.
