“JUST WHAT HAPPENED IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN”
“Adam, where are you?” God called, knowing exactly what had happened but wishing Adam would confess his misdeed anyway. Adam was afraid and ashamed and remained hidden. Why?
This short rendition of the biblical account of our human creation explains it in today’s language and understanding. It is so important for us to understand the depth of our failings and how it all came about. God has loved us since the very beginning and has provided a way for us to live in His eternal universe with Him forever.
“Abraham, our Father of Faith” interprets the biblical account of Abraham’s life in modern language while remaining true to Scripture. Abraham believed everything God told him and lived his life according to God’s leading. His story is a wonderful account of how our own lives can play out if we walk in the Spirit. Because Abraham was found faithful, we have our Savior, Jesus Christ. We should be glad that we, too, can be found faithful like Abraham.
“ON THE ROAD TO EMMAUS” captures the fright expressed by the disciples after Jesus was crucified. It is written as an interview of Cleopas by Luke, the apostle. Luke had never personally known Jesus, but through interviews of people present, he wrote the Gospel of Luke. Cleopas was one of the two disciples who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus. Again, Penelope remains true to Scripture, taking the four Gospels and mingling them together in a time line that explains the resurrection in modern terms. Forgiveness is the result for Peter after a deep emotional struggle. We can all relate to the guilt he felt, and it is remarkably expressed in this exciting rendition.
