In the Doghouse

Funny, tender and wise, this is the story of Rosie, who prefers dogs to men. She lives in a massive, half-drelict château in the French countryside with her two children and a pack of dogs. As a favour to an old school friend, she takes in one of the world's most famous filmstars, a man on the run from the paparazzi. There's plenty of space after all, and she has no intention of taking any notice of him. But the second she meets him she realises she's in trouble because he's insanely sexy and attractive. How on earth could any woman not fall head of heels? However, she soon discovers that her unwelcome houseguest is spoilt, rude, selfish and dissipated. What a relief! Keeping her heart untouched will be easy. He drinks, he seduces, he makes off-colour comments. How on earth is he going survive life without a helipad, a weekly orgy and scrambled egg-whites for breakfast? Rosie doesn't care. She has enough on her hands with her son Chris and his girlfriends, her daughter Larrie and her massive horse, Dolly the bichon, Spike the boxer, Fanny the spaniel, the three house dogs, and her amorous neighbour.
