This book of songs and poems are both personal and explicit, to the point of true feelings and passion. It compasses about a time in history and era in Trinidad and Tobago. When as a young man, I was caught up in the aspirations of love and civil unrest, to which these words induce. I can remember a spiral world of art, music, and literature arose out of this phenomenon. The powers that be, such as the head of State and religious and ethnic groups were criticized, where marches and shouts of power filled the air and slogans that read Indians and Africans Unite.
