The management side of the recruitment, care, and development of church staff is not part of pastoral curriculum in most seminaries. Business leaders moving into church management as executive pastors are often lacking experience in dealing with Christian employees in a fully Christian setting. Following careers in the public and private sectors with large utility, government and communications corporations, undertaking various senior roles in Human Resources management, Godevenos currently consults clients, including church and charitable organizations, in all aspects of Human Resources and Strategic Planning. 
He has served as president, executive member, and/or board member of organizations and local churches.  An active church layleader, Godevenos is also: Executive Director of SCA International ministering to isolated peoples in Canada, senior faculty member of WorldatWork, columnist and blogger for ChurchSolutions magazine and his own blog at www.epistoli.blogspot.com, and regular conference speaker.
