A Statistical Study of the Starting Prices of Horses. 2774 races analyzed, less for jumps than flat. 666 jump races, 449 all weather races and 1659 flat races. These were divided into types of race and number of runners, Handicap Flat races of 4-7, 8-11, 12-15 and 16+ runners for example. All horses of the whole range of odds from odds on to 16+ and over were analyzed, how often horses of these odds came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 23 types of races. These are shown in tables throughout the book which are organized into percentages. The book further sorts a lot of this information into top 10 and top 20 results in various ways. However, I must stress this is not a guaranteed way to make money but could be a helpful guide nevertheless and may help in your overall strategy.
