A gust chilled him to the bone.

The night was filled with starlight. It was a serene, glittering night that kept the world's children warm. But he was far from warm. His heart was in the icy, relentless grip of loneliness-a bone-chilling snare that threatened to break him like a twig.

Winds pierced his soul like predators subduing prey, beating him into incurable submission. The nightmare he wanted to leave behind was alive and well, mocking him. Threatening to take away every last bit of hope and dreams. Uruki wasn't anywhere near him, so Kir could do nothing but face torment. Gales were the only thing he had, even as he laid near a bonfire, underneath a glistening blue sea. But as his vision cleared, he realized he was wrong. His attendant was merely a few feet away, tending to their fire. Hoping to keep his friend warm.

They were alone, in their own corner of the world. Peony, Nila and the others were nearby, enveloped by their dreams. Kir knew the morning would soon come, casting them back into their pursuit of world peace, but his current concern was an ethereal blonde. The Cross had been nothing more than a selfish, immature brat, worthy of everything that had happened, but still Uruki was there. Uruki was always there. Uruki would always be there, with his smile and soft eyes.

"Hey there. Finally awake, I see."
