Constipation is a very common disorder suffered by a major portion of the world’s population today. Even though constipation can be a symptom of a more serious disorder, it most often results from simple dietary causes, minor health conditions, pregnancy, and hormonal changes. It may be the result of: insufficient fluid intake, inadequate fiber in the diet, lack of B vitamins, magnesium, zinc, and potassium; too much iron, protein, or dairy products, or from hemorrhoids, hypothyroidism, or hormones (such as during pregnancy).
Constipation can also result from: too much salt, pepper, spices, vinegar, and aluminium. If it is because of none of those reasons, it could be due to anxiety, depression, tension, lack of exercise, eating too fast, taking drugs (even over the counter drugs like cough medicine), antibiotics, and even taking too much laxatives.
Whew! I know that sounds like a lot, but it is pretty easy to narrow it down once you start knocking possible reasons off your list. After that, a lot of the treatments will work for many different causes.
A lot of time, energy, research and love went into the making of this manual; and it is the purpose of this manual to provide you with the easiest, safest and healthiest home remedies for constipation.
