Hey ladies! You’ve probably been taught the importance of having a savings account and a plan for your retirement, but has anyone ever told you that you need a rainy day fund? Now, don’t be confused, savings aren’t necessarily the same as rainy day funds. Rainy day funds are monies that are set aside especially for life-altering emergencies like escaping an abusive relationship, getting a treatment to cure a life threatening disease, to land on your feet when you’ve been pushed out of the nest. Rainy day funds are meant to be the safety net for times when you feel like the world has dropped away from under your feet and you are free-falling to who knows where.
