Canon A.J. (Jim) Glennon, AM (1920–2005) conducted the Wednesday night healing services in St Andrews Anglican Cathedral, Sydney, from 1960 until his retirement in 1988. After his retirement he spoke at conferences and seminars in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the USA. He wrote two books on healing: Your healing is within you (1978) and How can I find healing? (1984). Healing is a way of life preserves Canon Glennon’s practical teaching on healing in the form of daily readings, Monday to Friday, each week. The book draws on a selection of Jim Glennon’s Wednesday night sermons. The format means that the practical, biblically-based teaching is easily accessible in bite-sized pieces. Among subjects covered are the importance of forgiveness; how to pray the Prayer of Faith; how to believe for the provision of material needs; and why the cross of Christ is central to healing. As one reader has said, the book doesn’t just tell you what to do, it tells you how to do it. Jim Glennon said: ‘Let your problems enable you to trust, not in yourself but in God, and make it a way of life. It is simple. It is straightforward. You will have to persevere, but it will work for you in the same way as I have found it worked for me and for many, many others.’
