Zeke shares the fate of many modern college and university graduates (especially those who studied the Arts): a job in retail and a feeling that he could be doing more with himself. He also finds himself at the end of a long-term relationship, one that had sustained him for several years.
So, left with nothing to keep him in his rut, Zeke decides to try something completely different: teaching English in South Korea.
Having been in South Korea for months now, Zeke feels like he's finally adapted to the ex-pat life. However, what he's keeping from Ji-Hye (Gee-Hay) and what she's keeping from him threatens to destroy their relationship and Zeke's settling sense of identity.
Inspired by the author's own experience teaching English in South Korea, 'Heading East, Looking West (Part 4): February & March' sees Zeke and JiHye's relationship begin to seriously sour. This part is approximately 17,000 words.
This edition is a serialization of a work in progress (this is part 4 of 5). Please send all comments to the author at nsczach@gmail.com to earn a free copy of the next and final part.
